We believe that wild Alaska Pollock is foundational to Alaska's $5.7 billion seafood economy, and one of the reasons Alaska's sustainable practices are the global gold standard. As a multi-species fishing company, we also know that every fishery is important and that by working together, Alaska can have a thriving seafood industry for generations to come.

We are an integral part of the seafood economy that that lifts and strengthens all of Alaska. Starting as a single crab vessel, Trident has grown its Alaska and global footprint substantially. We remain a 100 percent American-owned, family-run company that is rooted in Alaska, innovation, quality and sustainability.

While Alaska's pollock fishery is recognized by the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) as "one of the cleanest in terms of incidental catch," reducing bycatch remains a top priority for Trident Seafoods and our captains.

SeaShare Donations

As a proud partner of SeaShare, a nonprofit organization that donates nutritious seafood to food banks and hunger-relief organizations across the United States, 92% of our king salmon and 70% of our chum salmon bycatch* went to food programs in 2025.

*Some bycatch is prohibited from being utilized. All food-grade salmon and halibut is donated through the SeaShare program, often locally in the Alaska communities of Sand Point, Akutan and Unalaska.

Investing in Alaska's Skilled Trades

In partnership with the Alaska Vocational Technical Center (AVTEC), Trident has developed the Skilled Trades Training Program, with the purpose of getting more Alaskans working in skilled trades within the seafood industry. This four-year, fully paid, program provides on-the-job learning, mentorship and technical training for every participant. We annually recruit within Alaska, and 70-90% of each year’s students are Alaskan residents.
