ANCHORAGE, Alaska, July 12, 2026 – Being Anchored in Alaska means more than operating in the state. It means showing up, getting involved, and contributing to the communities where Trident employees live and work.
Local employees brought that commitment to life at the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River, joining neighbors and families for one of the community’s signature summer celebrations.
A highlight of the festival was the Slippery Salmon Olympics, where multiple Trident teams stepped up to compete. Employees put their coordination, determination, and sense of humor to the test while spectators cheered from the sidelines. The spirited competition gave colleagues a chance to work together in a very different setting and take part in a tradition that brings the Eagle River community together.
That participation captured the real purpose behind Trident’s presence at Bear Paw. Employees were not simply representing the company at an event. They participated as friends, neighbors, and community members.
Between competitions, the Trident booth provided another place for local connections. Families stopped by throughout the festival to meet employees, learn more about Trident and try their luck at the prize wheel. Children and parents laughed as the wheel spun, while employees had the chance to talk with visitors about Alaska seafood and the people who make the industry possible.
For more than 50 years, Trident has built its Alaska presence through long-term relationships with communities, fishermen, employees, and families. Supporting local events is one way the company continues that investment. These gatherings give employees opportunities to listen, participate, and strengthen connections that extend well beyond the workplace.
"We're so grateful to our local employees who helped staff the booth, competed in the Slippery Salmon Olympics, and represented Trident throughout the festival," said Stefanie Moreland, Executive Vice President of Public Affairs. "Their enthusiasm demonstrates what it means when we say Trident is 'Anchored in Alaska.' It's about investing time and energy in the communities we are proud to call home."
