Driven by Safety, Powered by People: Empowering Alaska's Frontline Industries
Trident Seafoods is proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the 44th annual Alaska Governor's Safety and Health Conference held Tuesday, April 7 and Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the William A. Egan Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
Held annually, the conference brings together civic and business leaders, workers, vendors and partners from across Alaska's frontline industries to share practical solutions, innovative ideas and proven strategies that strengthen Alaska workplaces and protect the state's workforce.
"Built for Alaska: How Trident Seafoods Embeds Safety from Vessel to Value Chain"
Attendees at this year's event will have access to a front row seat as Trident Seafoods CEO, Joe Bundrant, leads the General Session to start the second day of the two-day event.
In 2024, Trident achieved a 19% reduction in safety incidents companywide compared to 2023. The company also cut its Days Away, Restricted or Transferred (DART) rate in half. How did the company do it? By implementing a culture of safety throughout the organization that starts at the top (source: Trident Seafoods 2025 Sustainability Progress Report).
In a presentation entitled, "Built for Alaska: How Trident Seafoods Embeds Safety From Vessel to Value Chain," Bundrant will walk attendees through his personal story growing up in the industry before highlighting Trident's enterprise-level approach to health and safety.
From making safety personal at a leadership level, to creating a cultural foundation that is guided by the company's vision, mission and values, attendees will leave the general session with clear calls to action and a roadmap on how to make health and safety personal, executable, measurable and sustainable throughout their own organizations.
