Celebrating Trident's Makers and Doers on Manufacturing Day

On Manufacturing Day, Trident celebrates its processing and manufacturing employees not simply for what they do, but how they do it.

The following was authored by Bob Masching, Trident Seafoods' Executive Vice President - Supply Chain, in celebration of Manufacturing Day 2024

In the first of the two short videos below, Luke Forrestor, Trident's Director of Operations - Bristol Bay, describes his favorite part of working at Trident: the people.

Although the video was shot during a brief window of Bristol Bay, Alaska's most recent salmon season, the genuine sentiment and heartfelt meaning behind Luke’s words hold true for every Trident employee, at every Trident location.

Simply put, Trident wouldn’t be where it is today without its people.

And yet, as we celebrate Manufacturing Day, held annually on the first Friday in October, we’re provided with a unique opportunity to highlight and recognize the invaluable contributions of a special group of dedicated employees who are essential to Trident's daily operations: Our seafood processors and manufacturing workforce.

Whether they work shoreside or dockside, on the waters off the coast of Alaska or in landlocked places like Carrollton, Georgia and Motley, Minnesota, without our processing and manufacturing employees it would be impossible for Trident to fulfill its mission of responsibly sharing wild Alaska seafood with the world. From grade school cafeterias to your favorite restaurant, the products they produce – which come from the best, most sustainable protein on earth – quite literally feed millions.

...we celebrate our processors not simply for what they do, but how they do it.

More importantly, we celebrate our processors not simply for what they do, but how they do it. I’ve personally witnessed the countless ways in which they give back to their communities, and how they’re committed to embodying Trident’s core values. There are a number of reasons why our customers and consumers can feel good about our products, and near the very top of that list is the care, dedication and integrity of Trident’s processing workforce.

So, to Trident’s makers and doers of today, and to the creators of the future, it’s in the spirit of Manufacturing Day that I say “thank you” for helping Trident fulfill its vision of making people’s lives better.
