Crispy Rice Alaska Salmon Burger

35 minutes 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 4 Trident Seafoods Alaska Salmon Burgers

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice

  • 2 Tbsp rice vinegar

  • 1 Tbsp sugar

  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil

  • 1 avocado, sliced

  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced

  • 4 sheets nori (optional, for serving)

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil (for frying)

  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture over the cooked sushi rice and stir well to combine. Let the rice cool slightly.

  2. Divide the seasoned rice into 8 equal portions. Wet your hands with water to prevent sticking and shape each portion into a round patty, about the size of the salmon burger. Press the rice firmly so it holds together.

  3. Prepare the Trident Seafoods Alaska Salmon Burgers according to the package instructions, either by grilling or pan-searing until fully cooked. Set aside.

  4. Meanwhile, In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the rice patties in the skillet. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

  5. Place one crispy rice patty on a plate. Top with a Trident Seafoods Alaska Salmon Burger, followed by slices of avocado and cucumber. Add a second crispy rice patty on top to complete the burger.

Garnish with sesame seeds if desired, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
